Urban Fresh value the environment and are concerned for your health. Thats why its our standard practice to use products and techniques that are safer for you and the environment.

For all our standard painting jobs we strive to use low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) paint. VOC’s are the nasties in paint that can cause Asthma and other respiratory related problems.  By using low VOC paint it protects you and your family, and us!

Urban Fresh have proven themselves in the field of “green painting” by being chosen to paint the MyGreen Mirage display home for MyStyle Homes. This award winning home featured heat reflective paint on all external walls, super low VOC internal paint and utilised our skill Green Painter techniques to complete the home.

Environmentally Friendly Painting

Environmentally friendly painting is important for your health and the environment. As standard practice we only use low VOC paints for your (and our!) health. We are training “Green Painters” and have developed our very own “Safe-Waste” paint wash system to minimise the impact on the environment. 

How Safe-Waste works

Many painters just wash their brushes in the sink, flushing litres of polluted water into our waterways. To minimise the impact on the environment Urban Fresh developed a complex paint wash system called “Safe-Waste”.

  • Tools Cleaned in Water

    As much paint is manually extracted from the brushes and rollers in the safe-waste tank.

  • Additive added to water

    A safe additive makes the paint particles in the water settle to the bottom of the tank in a semi solid.

  • Clean water comes out!

    Once the paint settles the majority of the water is emptied from the system…crystal clear!

  • Paint solids filtered

    The remaining semi solid paint is filtered to extract any extra clean water.

  • Solids get disposed of safely

    The remaining paint solid is disposed of safely.

  • The Environment Wins!
